WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Good Jobs Nation Director Joseph Geevarghese released a statement opposing the nomination of Alexander Acosta to be the next Secretary of Labor.

“Andrew Acosta is an enemy of America’s workers.  Acosta’s record at the National Labor Relations Board shows that he consistently sided with corporate CEOs to weaken the legal rights of workers to organize unions and to go on strike.   Like Andrew Puzder before him, Acosta’s nomination is a slap in the face to the thousands of workers who are striking to win $15 and a union.
